I just heard the best thing ever.
I was in the line at the store getting some wrapping stuff when the girl in front of me turned to her friend and said, in all seriousness,
"Do you know how to use matches? I can't find a lighter."
It took everything I had not to burst out laughing.
Awesome.

There's one like that on our support team. Sheesh!
While packing away the parachutes following a skydive over Lodi, California, I overheard one of the instructors say "these guys are from England - where is that?"... "that's like a whole other country!"
