My Three (Non) Date Weekend

Went for a photo taking walk and drink with one of my good friends (who also happens to be the boyfriend of one of my best friends.)

Met Bird for breakfast.

Went for a walk with cute temp spy worker guy. (Who, yes, has a Significant Other, oh well, at least I have a new friend, right?)

Pretty good for a shy, single girl, eh?

Sounds like a good weekend to me!

That is perhaps the polar opposite to what I was doing while holed up in my house and perhaps way more fun too. :)

Alright, I'm getting sucked into this bird drama, but there aren't enough posts to go back very far and get the scoop. Sounds like someone needs to escalate?

Alright, that's it, how are you supposed to be my internet crush when its all within a comment box?! I'm breaking up with you, and I want my favorite sweater back. You can keep the dog if you must. :-P

Email me.

Alexandreena, it was good :)

Likalia, sometimes holing up is good too! (really)

David, Bird won't escalate and just wants to "be friends" so that's what I'm going for too. And as time goes on it's getting easier :)

As for your sweater...well the dog likes to sleep with it so if I get to keep the dog I keep the sweater too. That's the way these internet breakups go you know! Heh.

Hmm, have you tried escalating on him? I'm getting 'nice girl' vibes off you. If there is such thing as 'nice girl syndrome' and its anything like 'nice guy syndrome' then maybe a bit of physical escalation would be just the thing. If your giving off 'nice girl' vibes, and his social conditioning is telling him that be better be on his most gentlemanly behavior with such a 'nice girl' then maybe you need to break thru that social conditioning. Maybe some sultry eyes, a lick of the lips, a hand brushed gently across his leg? Sub-communicate that something hotter than the nice girl-nice guy act could be in the cards?

I dunno, as a guy getting over his 'nice guy syndrome' I can tell you that projecting how 'good of a guy' I am has kept me out of way more relationships than it's gotten me into. Somewhere along the way I got the idea that women would want nice respectful guys. Maybe they do, but thinking about what you want and really being hot for are two different things.

However it is, what he wants doesn't really matter. As the players say 'Attraction is not a choice' and that is definitely true. When a hot babe in bikini steps out of a pool, I do 'decide' to be attracted, I just am.

Maybe this is all totally irrelevant to your story, who knows.

Dog and the Sweater? No way, but I'm still enough of a nice guy to share custody.

No sweater? You're tough! ;)

Well done (insert wild applause for 3 non dates). Especially for a self described shy girl.

Thanks TSG!

Just outting myself. :p I've been reading recently and I quite enjoy your blog! The non-date date is a great idea. I'll have to try that one out! All I need is a victim. Ha!

Interesting commentary, David. I've never thought of being a nice girl as THAT much of an issue. I guess being too far on either end of the spectrum could be problematic.

Pretty spectacular, in my book. I remember having a social life. It's that forgotten bundle of bits and bobs in the back of the drawer I haven't looked in for months, isn't it...

p.s. I have a new blog (the one true blog - to rule them all - http://www.ewows.net - "The Enormous Waste of Webspace")

Mmmmm summer fruit.
Mmmmm. . . flossing after summer fruit!
Thanks for the memories Cocoa ;)

Jonathan, I think that's where your social life might be hiding, yes! Congrats on the ewows!
