Baroo?

Look! A photo of cute, smiling children!

To distract you from the fact that I, in fact, apparently *do* have Celiac disease, as the specialist just informed me Thursday.

So, ok.

Kids! Cute! Look!

I noticed you do not have a blog roll.....or I am just blind...

Anywho, I've been reading your blog for a while now (HI fellow Canadian!!) and thought I should pass along a link to FrugalDreamer (http://frugaldreamer.blogspot.com/). Right now, she's on a frugal search for food to help with Celiac! Enjoy

Oh dear. Bad luck. I live with a Coeliac and it's.. well, it IS annoying but it ISN'T as bad as it used to be. There's so many alternatives on the market these days.

Most of them are crap, tho, so you still have my condolences.

It's too bad that you have Celiac, as it will be an every day annoyance, but the good news is that you will be feeling better with some lifestyle changes. Feeling 100% normal again, and that's the most important part. Try to see the glass as half full. You can put all those days of feeling like crap behind you.

Pain in the ass, but totally treatable...you can still have chocolate. And the strides in gluten free baking are astounding...find a local baker, tho, the stuff in the big stores still suck a@&....if you were closer, I'd give you the name of my baker.

Well, now you start getting better. It takes a while to get used to reading food and sorting out what you can take home. But you're bright, you'll do fine. The lack of beer hurts though. Last I checked there was only one gluten free been in Canada :(

Hi April Fire / fellow Canadian! ;)
Thanks for the link, and no, I don't have a blogroll-ly thing, you're not blind :)

Dominic, well, all the cool kids seem to have it ;) And, yes, there is a ton of stuff out there, which is great. I even found GF frozen pizza! SCORE!

Anonymous, I'm totally trying to see the glass as half full :) Right now the only thing I'm struggling with is eating out or eating over at people's houses. I'll have to work that out. It's all good though. :)

Dilling, yeah, a bit of a pain in the butt, and yes, still chocolate! ;) Someone here is going to "hook me up" with a local GF baker and I'm totally excited about that although, I've found a frozen GF raisin bread that I don't mind at all. Luckily, my brain has forgotten what the old kind of bread tasted like ;)

Thanks Mark, and you're right. Just will keep on learning to figure out the labels and stuff like that. And I do think I'll do fine. But my confession? *whispers* I've never been a big beer lover, so it's not a huge loss to me. It will make this year's BeerFest a bit dull though ;)
