Well Then

I was hit by a thought as I lay in bed last night.

The last man who shared my bed with me, the last man I lay in bed with?

Is now married.

I don't know what I think about that.

So long as he wasn't married at the time ;)

Plus you're not getting any younger, are you? :)

Also good job using the correct form of the past tense of "lie".

Most people get that wrong. I'm duly impressed.

He wasn't Dominic ;)

I'm not getting any younger Cocoa? What? That's not what the lady who sold me the potion promised. Damn. Foiled again.

And thanks for the grammar compliment :) But I'm curious what most people say instead. Laid? Lied? Sleeped?

Indeed, Jordan.

Uhh, isn't it kinda rude to remind a lady that she isn't getting any younger?!

Victoria, rest assured (as you lie in bed) that he's making someone else's sheets smelly and sweaty and she probably has to do his laundry now. Yay less work and more sleep for you :)

Yay! More sleep and less work! YAY! ;)

Awwww, thanks Chris! ;)

Hi Ms. Behaviour,

Maybe "rude," but I'm here to "keep it real" for Victoria. She needs that. Who knows what Victoria needs better than Cocoa. :) :)

And anyway, age is what you make it. I could have said "plus you aren't getting any duller, are you?"

Hi Victoria -- "As I laid in bed last night" is typical.

I like to use quotation marks; do you have a favorite "mark" of punctuation?

I'm quite partial to the ellipses.

I can see you do like your quotation marks. . .

;)

Yes, I am not surprised. You are a "woman" and ellipses add to your womanly mystery.

Here's a little of what I am thinking and the rest...

:)

Victoria said...

Hey! Cocoa, take those damn quotation marks off "woman" I am ALL woman, no quotation marks needed! ;)
Heh.

Esperanza, you're the only one who seems to have noticed! Tee hee! ;)

Maaaaaybe, I'll remove the quotes. It's nice to have something to hold over you.

On a not unrelated topic, is there a difference between woman and girl? Why is it not called Advice from a Single Woman? There is certainly a difference between boy and man; but why doesn't the same distinction exist between woman and girl? Maybe you can post on that in the future.

Your pal,
CNG

Well, Cocoa, I think there is a Britney song that answers that question. Because sometimes you're not a Giiiiiirl, not yet a Wooooman.

Er. Plus, Advice from a Single Woman just sounded too mature for me or something ;)
