The Leaves

For the Canadians out there, I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend and that you get to spend some time with loved ones and that your stomachs get filled but not too full.

Happy Thanksgiving lovelies!

Now let me ask you something, because it's been a while since I've done that...

What's your favourite thing about Fall? What do you like most about the season?

Cardigans. And boots. And scarves. And pumpkin pie. And apples! Don't get me wrong, by the time May rolls around I will be SO. SICK. of APPLES. Because the only fruit you can really get that's good and doesn't cost an arm and a leg during the winter is apples and bananas, but by the end of summer, I haven't eaten apples in months and I am excites for a good crisp bite again. Can you tell fall is my favourite season? I don't like the heat and I love when it starts to cool down again. I can't pick just one thing.

Yeah, scarves are good!

Everything - I love the Fall! The cooler days, everything that Laura said, the crunchy leaves, the first big storm. Yep, bring on fall.

Big storms are good, as long as you've got a cozy blanket to cuddle under!

I love the cooler weather, and the way you can watch the gradual change of leaves from green to yellow to orange to red.

In my home, we smash up newspaper & soak it in water till all the ink comes off then we place dry flower petals & dry it under the sun to make really pretty papers =)

That does sound pretty!

Oh great... Monday morning at work, and realising that my US friends are not going to be at work :)

No, I think your US friends will be at work, it's only Canadians who have Thanksgiving today :)

New Reader Here!
I spent all of Thanksgiving weekend crying my eyes out and reading your blog. Funny thing is, it's been over a month since the actual deed was done. This weekend is the weekend he's moving away. 3 hours away...to experience some "change" and "fulfill his dreams" or whatever. We were together for 2 years.
I thought about doing long distance but reading about yours really reinforced that it wouldn't be right for me. Plus, I'm only 21 years old. I hope I'm doing the right thing. Right?
*back to cryfest*

I love your blog and it's really therapeutic to read! Thank you for existing!! :) :)

Aww, I'm sorry e. That sucks and hurts and is no fun at all.
I'm glad that you got to read some stuff here that helped even if just a little and it sounds like you know your choice is right for you even if it hurts.
It's hard to know in the moment if we're doing the right thing so we just have to trust that we are and keep on going.
Know that you'll be ok and you'll grow from this and will be stronger.
You'll be ok. You will. But until you are, keep on crying if you need to and make sure you take good care of yourself and pamper yourself.
Big hugs, hang in there.

Yes, V... the awesome Columbus day! One of the many odd days State workers get time off. Altho, I'm technically not a state worker.. just a worker in the finance place.

not near as cool as being a spy tho'..... ;-)

Thanks Victoria but sometimes it feels like a bottomless pit of sorrow. :(
Like this morning I woke up and I was so sad that I had to tell him about how sad I was..over email. Bad mistake. I just feel worse about it now.

Well yay for you getting Monday off too Kas! :D

Keep on hanging in there e. It gets better, just slowly and we all make mistakes, hopefully we learn from them. Just one day at a time, you'll be ok.
