Ok, Yeah

Ok, yeah, wow.

This... anxiety thing that's happening right now?  Is not fun.

I'm going to talk with someone about it today.  Because... no.

Not.

It's funny (in a not ha ha way) because I've had lots of worries before and even talked about them here but right now, when that wave hits me?  I can't even.... like the idea of trying to write it out is too much.  It's not something I can talk through in that moment, not something I can sit down and type out about.  This is different.

And so?  Help.  Help and change and asking for support, which is weirdly hard to do, but I'm doing it.

Lots of ways I'm working through the moments too, and finding things that help (a friend recommended skullcap tincture and I think it's helping) and yeah...

Boo, I say, boo!

Tell me about your weekend, would ya?

This evening was pretty good. Made homemade mac & cheese, watched a Spongebob movie with my son, made it through a few chapters of Uncharted 2 before settling in to read some books before sending him to bed. Now just chilling before hitting the sack myself. Plan for tomorrow is to build a model, do a bit of crafts, have some pancakes, maybe shop for new toothpaste. Not necessarily in that order.

Need to unwind after a week of training the folks who're taking over my job, and doing a bunch of presentations to a group which triggers my anxiety pretty bad. I did a lot of sweating this week. Thankfully no presentations next week, though.

I am single handed this weekend. Other half has gone to support her Mum at a running race. The kids are slowly driving me up the wall. I need to go grocery shopping, get their hair cut, and buy new school shoes. Fun times (not).

Friday I met a former colleague for a meal & then the object of my affection appeared (invited) to have a drink with us and walk me home.
Today Saturday we are meeting for lunch then to check how the renovations on his house here in town (Cambridge) are going then out to his place in the village where we will spend tomorrow visiting the pub for lunch & looking woefully at the fading summer glory of the garden / yard.

Well that sounds awesome Jason! :)

Try not to get driven too far up the wall Jonathan!!!!

Awww, sounds lovely Anne! Except maybe for the fading summer part ... sad sigh.

My dad's birthday is coming up, so I headed up to them after work Friday - which meant going north rather than my usual south. Tube was packed; train station was heaving (start of school hols) and I was starting to worry that half an hour wouldn't be long enough to collect my ordered-online tickets. There were only two machines in operation, and it seemed like nobody had spotted the "You'll need this reservation number to collect your tickets" line - they were pulling out phones, booting up laptops, calling people and walking them through getting to their email.. Crazy!

Got through it in the end, caught the train, got up there. Dad was pleased with his present (It was more expensive than usual to make up for missing his birthday last year) and I got to see the house they'll be moving into soon. Came home to my pouty cat who spent the rest of the day following me round so she could pointedly ignore me the whole time - she doesn't approve of me going away :)

Raked the backyard on Saturday which took the two of us a couple of hours to finish...but glad that is done for the season.

Got a quote on switching furnace from forced air electric to natural gas...looking forward to more heat and way, way less cost.

Played hockey and golf on Sunday and then got on an airplane for a work trip.
